RECORDED BY DAVE POWERS AT
THE MARBLE GANG DURING JAZZ & EGGS JAM SESSIONS 1980S
"LIVE SESSIONS ARE JUST THAT ... LIVE. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN AND USUALLY DOES, THE SESSIONS SWING, AND SO DO SOME OF THE HORN PLAYERS.... RIGHT AWAY FROM THE MICROPHONES. THINGS GET UNPLUGGED, WIRES GET STEPPED ON. SOMETIMES THE SESSION IS REALLY LOOSE AND SOMETIMES IT'S REALLY TIGHT. FOR ALL IT'S SPONTANEITY, THIS CD AND THE TWO THAT FOLLOW ARE GOOD REPRESENTATIONS OF WHAT A REAL OLD SKOOL JAM SESSION IS ALL ABOUT....EXPERIMENTATION, INNOVATION, AND INTERACTION BETWEEN OLD AND NEW".

RECORDED BY MUSICOL AT THE RIVER CLUB DURING JAZZ & EGGS JAM SESSIONS IN THE 1980-90S.
ALL OF THE JAZZ & EGGS CDS DOCUMENT THE RICH HISTORY OF THE JAM SESSION. THE TRUE IMPROVISATIONAL THREAD THAT BINDS THE ARTISTS TOGETHER AS THE MUSIC UNFOLDS.
RECORDED IN VARIOUS PLACES RANGING FROM THE MARQUEE LOUNGE TO A LOCAL CHURCH, THIS CD DOCUMENTS FIVE LOCAL BANDLEADERS WHO HAVE BEEN ACTIVE WITH THE JAZZ & EGGS JAM SESSIONS AND THE LISTEN FOR THE JAZZ PROJECT.
TUNES FROM GENE WALKER, DAVE POWERS, BOBBY FLOYD, VINCE ANDREWS AND VAUGHN WIESTER ARE FEATURED ON THIS RECORDING AND ILLUSTRATE THAT JAZZ IS DEFINITELY COMMUNITY MUSIC!
