Wahru Cleveland and friends leading the Columbus Children's Parade



The Columbus Children's Parade kicks off two full days of exciting programming designed to encourage kids to work with the arts in a focused yet fun way including: Chalk On The Walk, Jewelry Making, Recycled Ornaments, Masks, Drum Making workshops, face painting, the Horn Hat workshop and more.

Wahru Cleveland performs percussion with local jazz musicians in a variety of venues and is founder of Sistah Ngoma and director of MDOFE, Ohio-based multicultural women’s drum groups. Wahru, 2003 National Women’s Music Festival ‘Drum Mother,’ is the original facilitator of the nightly drum jams for NWMF and has taught the NWMF Drum Chorus since 2003. She has facilitated drum circles for many festivals, including Columbus Community Festival, Hot Times and Ohio LBA Festival. She was the ComFest Honored Artist for 2009. She also facilitates the Columbus Community Drummers, an all genders group.

Sandy is a member of MDOFE. MDOFE Women's Drum Chorus has been together for only a few years but already has grown in numbers to over 15 women drummers who come together to play drumsongs using a variety of instruments and cultural styles. MDOFE has performed all over Columbus at various festivals and locations, including Hot Times, Community Festival, Pride Festival, Short North Gallery Hop, Granview Hop and Drums & Dough at OSU.

The Demolition Crew has been bringing original reggae and ska,
as well as classic covers, to music fans in Southwest Ohio since 2003.

Making music, anytime, anywhere. Eugene Beer(aka The Piano Peddler,) is a local musician who plays a portable music performance system built on a mountain bicycle. Eugene provides music for all sorts of occasions: fundraiser walkathons, festivals and street fairs, retail/corporate promotions, backyard parties, outdoor rallies, and week-long bicycle tours.

The Pato Banton concert was an event not to be missed and an experience that will not easily be forgotten. Positive Vibrations abound with a beat, kept Hot Timers on their dancing feet, while delivering a message that was food for the mind and soul!
